| 2004 was a great vintage for Monterey
Chardonnay. An early Spring followed by a mostly cool Summer
until Labor Day. The late heat spike fully ripened the flavorful
fruit. Harvesting before, during, and after the heat wave
gave us varied components to complete this complex wine. 100%
French Oak aging followed.
Good natural acidity from the cool nights
together with ripe fruit flavors of peach and nectarine, with
crispness and freshness producing wines of elegance, and bright
smile of classic varietal Chardonnay flavor. This wine truly
shows sunshine of our Southern Monterey vineyard. Two dishes
we found that compliment the 2004 Chardonnay are Spicy Crusted
Halibut and Rotisserie Herbed Pork Loin. Please enjoy!
